Rockery Rejuvenation
This client asked me to rejuvenate an old rockery area which had become a mix of bare patches, unhealthy ground cover and a dominating shrub. All the unwanted plants were replaced with new ones to specifically add texture, colour and interest. The whole area opened up and appeared to double in size due to the renewed look, and the garden now has a new and attractive corner for the clients to enjoy.
Workplace Wellbeing
With new modern premises, Oracle Finance asked me to provide a planting concept that adds to the aesthetics, and also improves air quality and boosts overall wellbeing.
Adding colour to a small garden
This area comprises two narrow beds which were dominated by some overgrown and unsuitable shrubs that blocked the path and offered little interest. I replaced them with a colourful display of late flowering plants with some gaps left for Spring bulbs and Summer ideas.
From Bare to Beautiful
My client was sad to remove a whole area of diseased shrubs, but was delighted when he saw my new planting scheme to replace them!
Raised bed renewal
Two large raised beds feature in this client's sunny garden, but one had been neglected and the other was bare following the removal of shrubs and two trees. I implemented one Spring planting scheme in April and another in September, providing seasonal colour and interest for year-round enjoyment.
Edible Planters
My client The Last Post has become one of the top restaurants in Guernsey, following a renovation project. Executive Chef Lynsey Craggs is keen to use homegrown produce in her recipes, so I created these planters, full of useful vegetables and herbs for her kitchen.
Office Planting Concept
Two of my clients had just moved into smart new office premises but something was definitely missing until some creative planters were added. Indoor planting improves air quality, lowers noise, and enhances an overall feeling of wellbeing.
Cat Safe Planting
To plant these new beds I had to use 'cat safe' plants. Many plants are dangerous to animals, restricting choice, but as they mature these beds will fill with colour and interest.
Low-maintenance project
Rockeries are a great low-maintenance idea with year-round appeal, which create diverse microclimates that support specific plants and provide shelter for wildlife. They reduce water usage & soil erosion, and provide an appealing, natural focal point as was the case for this client.
Mini Indoor Planters
Here is a selection of small planters I've created for a client wishing to enhance café tables.
Window Dressing
Window boxes can be used for maximum effect to brighten up the front of a house, completely changing the aesthetic as with these examples which I planted for friends in the Spring.
Gifting Ideas
Why not give the gift of a plant arrangement as a colourful and long-lasting idea for that someone special?
